Separate the two submissions
A damage notification records that a property has been damaged or destroyed. A compensation application starts a separate assessment for state assistance. A notification reference does not mean funding has been awarded. If you applied previously, find the reference and check the case status before making another submission.
Check the ownership record
The compensation process relies on information in the State Register of Property Rights. Compare the address, property and owners with your documents. If the record is missing, start with the ownership preparation guide. A missing property in an app does not, by itself, prove that ownership does not exist; registration information needs a separate check.
Choose the relevant route
Repairable damage and a destroyed property follow different procedures. Damaged housing may qualify for repair compensation. Destroyed housing may lead to a housing certificate or programme funding to rebuild a private house, subject to the relevant conditions. The commission determines the property assessment and compensation amount; this website does not predict an award.
Prepare the application
Have identity and taxpayer details, contact information and the damage-notification reference available. A special account is needed for the relevant cash-funding route; certificates have their own use rules. Clarify co-owner participation and representation in advance. Before visiting, confirm that the exact CNAP branch or notary accepts your application type.
Keep submission confirmations and respond to the commission’s requests. The decision, actual funding and permitted use are separate stages. Use the step-by-step situation and checklist to organise your preparation.
