Confirm the destroyed-housing route

Procedure 600 applies to destroyed housing. The property assessment and commission decision determine the compensation route. A personal view that repair would be uneconomic does not replace the required process. Start with ownership records, the damage notification and the property’s assessed status.

Using a housing certificate

A housing certificate finances a housing purchase under programme rules. It is not an ordinary payment card. An award is followed by separate funding reservation, checks on the selected property and a notarial transaction. Do not treat the initial decision as confirmation that a particular purchase is ready to be paid.

Rebuilding a private house

An eligible private house may follow the cash-funded rebuilding route. This requires an appropriate land plot and compliance with construction conditions. Check land rights, development eligibility, funding stages and reporting before choosing it. The certificate rules do not automatically apply to construction funding.

Terminating ownership at the correct stage

Ownership of the destroyed property is terminated at the stage prescribed after approval of the decision: before the relevant payment or the notarial purchase using the certificate. Do not do this merely to submit an initial application. Confirm the sequence with a registrar or notary and account for co-owners.

Before committing to a purchase, verify current property conditions, funding-reservation periods and any personal contribution. Keep official decisions separate from a seller’s promotional promises. Use the compensation service profile to prepare the initial application.
