Open the official DMS tracker

After applying for a Ukrainian ID card or travel passport, check progress in the official DMS tracker. CNAPMAP does not run the search or request passport numbers and document copies. Enter the required identifiers only in the DMS form.

Choose the document and search details

Select the document type and read the search-field instructions. Adult applications, children’s documents and combined applications may require different identifiers. For a child’s application, check whether the form requires the child’s document or that of the legal representative who applied. Follow the current instructions for the exact application route.

Combined ID-card and travel-passport applications

For a combined application, the ID card and international passport must be checked separately. The correct identifier depends on whether these were first documents and which evidence was used at submission. Do not guess the details of a new document that has not been issued; follow the DMS guidance for the particular application route.

Missing information and planning collection

If information cannot be found, review the entered details and the tracker’s current explanation. If the problem remains, contact the migration office or CNAP where the application was submitted. Production, delivery to the issuing location and readiness for collection are different stages. Before travelling, ask whether the document has arrived, check the office hours and confirm what to bring. A production status alone should not be treated as a guaranteed collection date.

The checking sequence

  • Open the DMS service linked in this article.
  • Select the document and read the identifier instructions for your application route.
  • Check the entered details and distinguish production, delivery and collection.

Common questions

Which details are needed to check a child’s passport?

It depends on the application route. Read the current DMS instructions for the child’s application to identify which document details the search requires.

Does a production status mean the passport can be collected immediately?

Not necessarily. Confirm delivery and collection readiness with the office that accepted the application.

Choose the checker for your application channel

For a Passport Service application, also use the official State Enterprise Document checker. If a Ukrainian diplomatic mission accepted the application, the Migration Service directs applicants to the Foreign Ministry checker. Choose according to where and how you applied.

“Documents accepted; data are being verified” means receipt and verification, not readiness for collection. Later stages include permission to personalise, sending data, personalisation and delivery. For a CNAP or Passport Service application, delivery to a Migration Service office for onward transfer does not mean arrival at your collection point. Look for the final delivery-and-collection status for that location.

A search for “70% ready” cannot establish a reliable collection date. The official Migration Service list names processing stages; do not convert them yourself into a percentage or a number of days remaining. Production and delivery are different stages.

When to check and what to do if nothing appears

The Migration Service says to start checking on the day after submission. If no record appears within 48 hours, contact the Migration Service office, CNAP or Passport Service that accepted the application. First check the required document details and the form’s instructions. Do not use another person’s identifiers or post them in public comments.

Checking an ID card or residence permit: readiness or invalidity

For a new document, the DMS processing-status service lists separate types for an ID card, temporary residence permit and permanent residence permit. Select the correct type and use details of the document supporting the application. Do not guess the number of a new card that has not been issued.

For an issued ID card or permit, use the separate DMS invalid-document check and the matching type, including a biometric permit where applicable. This is informational: no record does not guarantee validity or legally establish the document’s status. Manufacturing readiness does not confirm lawful continuing use; ask DMS about legal-status questions.
